2. Lafayette Park
Lafayette Park, located in Bellaire, is one of the city’s numerous parks—despite being completely surrounded by Houston, the city has made efforts to provide a large amount of play area from its tiny space. The “poor part of Bellaire,” as it’s been dubbed by my family, is also home to a portion of the amusing contradiction that is this sector of Houston, which I’ve called “tongue-in-cheek.” It’s not far from two water treatment facilities, a railway track, and an HPD helipad. Although the city’s real estate market is still expanding at an accelerated rate, home values in the region have continued to rise at an exceptionally sharp rate.

Bellaire Family Aquatic Center (Bellaire Pool)
The leisure pool is a huge kiddie pool that resembles a silhouette of Mickey Mouse’s head if he had three ears. Your youngster will enjoy the face section, which features a toddler slide in which he slides out of a frog’s mouth and down his tongue. In the middle of the face is a slide suitable for 3 to 9-year-olds. It’s twisty, and a huge bucket dumps 100 gallons of water on the children as they wait for the slide. The corkscrew slide is a well for the spare ear of Mickey, who is 48 inches or taller. A whirlpool bath, for example, is one of the other mickey ears. It’s not as hot as a real hot tub, though. The final mickey ear is a three-foot-deep covered pool. All of this in one pool. There’s a lap pool, and there are also two springboards for diving. This is a must-visit place for Bellaire people.

Effortless and quick. Excellent communication. I was able to begin taking my prescribed medication much sooner than if I had submitted it to my local pharmacy and then returned to pick it up (would have likely been a 2-3 day delay).
